Hello,
sometimes when I boot my machine (dell inspiron 530), ubuntu seems to
get stuck on waiting for root filesystem phase.
I do a ctrl+alt+delete turn off the computer and turn it back on and it
then works fine.

I tried to install Apple's Safari in Ubuntu using Wine. This dosen't work

Same problem for me. I have DSL connection so I'm using pppoe. This way
there are two devices (ppp0 and eth0) which have same bandwitch, and
amount of data sent/received. In my opinion gnome-system-monitor shows
sum of both ( doubles the figures). There should be some option to
choose witch device
I have to revoke that statement. Although my network card did work with
that driver at the time i wrote the message (lsmod | grep r81 returned
r8169), and has worked the days after, it did not work today. I
installed the r8168 driver (as indicated in
Elisée you should try to fix your DSDT. Which bios version are you
running? My fan is running perfectly on a Geforce go 7900 after changing
the dsdt to a custom one.

I have bought a new laptop and I have installed both ubuntu and fedora
core 9. On ubuntu I immediately installed the fix ( the one starting by
if on power; then..) but on fedora I did not. I noticed a lots of

Yay, I'm glad to see this confirmed nominated, if not yet implemented.
I'd just like to add: when s2ram was removed, it was left in the
command-not-found data. That means if uswsusp is not installed and
you try to run s2ram, it lies to you - telling you that s2ram can be
found in the uswsusp

After resume from Hibernation I see for some 10 seconds white screen

I have my Firefox configured to open new windows in new tabs. If I click
on a link in another application (ex: feedreader) and Firefox is already
opened, the window pops up in a new tab, not a new window. That works
