I actually installed Ubuntu on a ppc based mac. Though I couldn't start
the desktop, I could open firefox via an XServer. It works well without
any of the issues I have mentioned above.

1. Fresh install of hardy in my case
2. Set up an ftp site using Places Connect to Server
3. Upgrade to Firefox 3.0 from beta

How to reproduce this bug:
* Start a video with a doublick on the file (this should start of kaffeine).
* doubleclick on the appearing video (normally this switches to fullscreen mode)
Hint: The video should not be in memory already. There will be no crash
if the video is fully loaded.

No, I selected Norwegian whenever I was asked about anything regarding
country/language. At least I remember selecting it on the ISOLINUX menu
and also that the keyboard layout detecting program correctly determined
Norwegian layout. I don't remember at the moment if there were any

I am trying to confirm this bug. Pidgin 2.5.0 connects to MSN without
any problem.
I know that I do get a gmail certificate i must accept manually each
time - although this is now fixed in 2.5.1. If you would like to try
2.5.1 to see if it fixes your problem, you can get it from my PPA.

Alright, some update to Kubuntu Intrepid fixed this somewhat, but not
entirely.
Whereas the roads used to break up as the image overlays do, now the
roads are solid at all times. I have two new problems though:
1- Only certain letters/numbers appear. For example, the coordinates at
the bottom
Can't speak for 2.6.26 but I tried 2.6.27 kernel and no luck. Sane-
find-scanner lists both my 5300C scanner and my Pinnacle HDTV usb stick
but when I run Xsane or Kooka, neither finds the scanner. I'm back to
2.6.24 kernel for now due to other problems but am hopeful this issue

I've found the problem: I placed that workaround only in xorg.conf, but
my PC hadn't nvidia drivers for 2.6.27, so xorg.conf.failsafe was used.
Placing workaround in xorg.conf.failsafe doesn't work, because that file
is probably replaced on each boot and shutdown.

I think this should be fixed by the HPLIP developers at HP. They are
updating their PPDs on OpenPrinting frequently, so it is not good to
patch them. There are perhaps also some HP printers which do not
understand PJL, so adding PJL stuff to all PPDs can break things.
