The Azureus package you are using appears not to be an official Ubuntu
package, but a package downloaded from getdeb. The Ubuntu community does
not support 3rd party packages and recommends using packages from the
official Ubuntu repositories whenever possible. You can either try the
Ubuntu version
I can confirm this bug on Hardy emerald 0.7.2 and compiz 0.7.4.

information.
Most importantly, is the crash reproducible or did it only happen once?
What were you doing immediately before the crash? For example did it occur when
you first booted the machine or when you first starte
I compiled another image viewer for the remote machine (RHEL2.1), xnview
(XnView v1.70) this time.
It, too, has the same problem.
I would imageine that this sort of problem might come up, if the old X
libraries the remote machine has assumed the X image was RGB and the
local server (new X librari

time also likely because it's having to retry.
