notification system for 9.04 intended to be less intrusive. Please test

yea, it happend to me too. i tried updating other alsa things, except
alsa driver, and my wireless network was compromised.
on ubuntu intrepid when i do
cd /lib/modules/`uname -r`/ubuntu/sound
i get

directory
why?

This aren't implemented in kubuntu 8.10 yet. In Ubuntu 8.10 you are able
to set globally in proxy-settings. Is this planned to work under kubuntu
9.04 in kde 4.2 with kde kontrolpanel?

Today installing Kubuntu 8.10 amd64 using an ext3 /boot partition with
128 byte inode size without formating, gave me the same error. What
information can I provide to help with this bug?
I attach the output of "tune2fs -l /dev/sda1" which is my /boot
partition.

Could you please try the intrepid dpkg version in
https://edge.launchpad.net/~mvo/+archive
It should fix the issue, its a bug with inconsistency in the dpkg triggers
database.
You will need to manually download it and then install it with dpkg -i
