According to the output of totem --gst-debug=2, it tries to use ffmpeg
to decode the video file (youtube (now?) uses compressed swf). ffmpeg
apparently doesn't support compressed swf files directly, they first
have to be decompressed by cws2fws.

I am using a NAS and want the mounts to be there automatically on login.
With gvfs mounts I have to go in an activate them each time.

the patch fies the issue for me. i can read pdf files from afs with no

I tested the official version (3.1.1, amd64 debs) but was unable to
reproduce the bug.
While installing and removing packages, I noticed that I was able to to
get one successful save when the Ubuntu version's -gnome and -gtk

So the cause is pretty clear:
(II) LoadModule: vboxvideo
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module vboxvideo
(II) UnloadModule: vboxvideo
(EE) Failed to load module vboxvideo (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) No drivers available.
In earlier times, gdm/X.org used to have a fallback mechanism to VESA.
Looks like perl 5.10.1 doesn't suffer from this problem.

I have a very much the same trouble with Cyrillic letters. When in
Windows, everything is OK. When I use unzip in the console, everything
is OK. When I open the archive with file-roller, it shows garbaged
encoding.
The problem should be solved if I had a chance to change the encoding in
