4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 that resolve to vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net and vnsc-

at greece. But,
cmake for kdelibs svn trunk also fails because of this. It seems that is
looks for the phonon includes from /usr/include/phonon, when in fact
they are in /usr/include/qt4/phonon. Symlinking it to /usr/include will
make cmake pass, but the compilation of kdebase then fails.

Todays updates brought a small improvement for me,
about -5 sec using stopwatch, and -10 sec using bootchart...
Maybe the developers are on the right way...

postiion/orientation/gravity of notify-osd.
This way I think that everyone is going to be pleased. Newcomers would

It wasn't any recent change in themes, but you did point me in the right
direction.
The problem was I've never change the theme since I installed Ubuntu 9.10 Beta
on this laptop.
Re-selecting the dust theme in the appearance dialog changed the indicator
icons for the better.

After some more testing (and numerous rebooting) I found the culprit. My laptop
(a HP6710b) came with Windows XP professional pre installed. HP added a
credential manager and HP protecttools, after removing them I'm able to use
Windows without corrupting the MBR.
