I consider this a critical bug, since it's not possible to mount a RAID
10 2 disk array with ext4 filesystem, even if it is done in Karmic. As a
workaround, I have installed the Jaunty kernel. No problem since then.

Actually, the i8042.nomux parameter is not enough. Sometimes it works,

I am running the Gnome desktop, and apport-kde is not installed. So I

It happened again - sorry, not sorted! The attachment is an extract from
syslog with many kernel warnings at around the time it froze. Only left
it alone for an hour or so, and it's still never happened when I was
using the machine.

I did a clean install of ununtu 9.10 and hit this - to my surprise -
when rebuilding me preferred server config. Unfortunately I did not
notice that apache2 was being installed until it had already shown up.
Uninstalling apache and then installing php5-cgi seems to have fixed
