That unfortunately happens from time to time with some hardware.
I don't think we changed much upstream for that though pulseaudio or alsa may
have changed and so cause that issue.
The easiest way to workaround that is to use the lts.conf variables to control
these channels.

Actually, change that. I made a mistake. It turns out the spellchecker
is trying to check everything against the English dictionary and you can
only get it to check words against the French dictionary one at a time.
So it's completely useless for any non-default languages.

I have this exact same problem with 9.10 except that the machine i'm trying to
access is a windows XP one.
With windows 9.04 I could simply browse to the machine via places and network,
then choose which drive to access.
But with 9.10 I get as far as MSHOME or WORKGROUP. I select MSHOME and it

Well actually it IS an issue with the modem/router.
The previous version of ubuntu (windows and maybe OSX caches dns request
or work differently) workaround this router bug. I seems that the
workaround was causing other issues (see the 2 bugs mentioned earlier).

Thanks. I just started using the specific non-PS driver for Sharp
ARM-M165 in Karmic, after getting error pages recently from the printer
with the generic PLC6 driver. It works perfectly and fixed these new
errors. Thanks, again.
