As I was using that functionality a lot I do not agree with:
Edge flipping on move is disabled because (1) it can be triggered accidentally
and confuse users, (2) it is a bit awkward to use, and (3) it's not symmetrical
(it's disabled on the top edge because it is too easy to perform
Still a problem in 9.10 to get my Microsoft wireless mouse 8000 and
wireless keyboard 7000 connected. I also have blueman and the bluez-
compat package installed. I must place each device into discovery mode,
one at a time, and then run sudo hidd --search only then will each
pair and can be used.

I was watching many youtube videos. It tends to crash for different
reasons, at different times, but it is easy to reproduce one way
flashplayer-nonfree crashes by loading 10+ youtube pages. The video did

I can confirm this issue in Xubuntu 9.10. As can be seen in the

/lib/udev/vol_id. Because /sbin/blkid has been part of the base system

Is there any way that udev could see that although the mac address has
changed, the device (PCI device 0x8086:0x100f (e1000)) is the same, so
modify the existing rule instead of creating a new one?

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install ,
that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't
be addressed as part of the project.
