As I compose this reply as usual I am listening to BBC Radio 4 and today
everything worked perfectly by clicking on the link on the BBC Home
page. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/bbc_radio_four is working as
expected. Your suggestion of pre-checking the URL is not available to
me.

upstream: mozilla 543420. The upstream bug was filed against Windows,
which suggests that this is not an Ubuntu-only issue. The upstream

I had the same problem on my Latitude D800.
Switching to the Nvidia driver solved the corrupt display problem.
However, I now don't see the Ubuntu splash screen after selecting kernel
from the Grub menu.

Whenever I resume from hibernation, the network manager has disabled
networking. To get networking working again, I can right click on the
networking icon and tick 'enable networking', but it's a real pain, as I
often hibernate my machine (an Acer Aspire One). I'm running

I have a workaround. It should work for you this way:
- click on switch user
- it will then show Currently Logged in under guest1 on the login screen.
- click on guest1
That's it!

However after installation of the official nvidia driver (needed because games
