SMART is enabled in the bios. I ran a `smartctl -H /dev/sdX` and it PASSED.

Why not make a silly dummy package with something like the fix in #68.
Then brasero could depends on that. For me the cdda2wav provided by
icedax works, but only when fixed like #68.
Isn't it a basic expectation that unskilled users can copy a cd? Why
wasn't this a showstopper bug?

I found a solution to my problem. Today, I switched to VirtualBox. Mouse
and keyboard integration works without a problem. I simply used vmware
manage tool to consolidate my vmdk into one file and directly imported
it in manager to virtualbox and booted it and it worked. so far no
freezes anymore.

Firefox shows plug-in version 9.0 r115
upgraded the flash player using the download from adobe.
sudo dpkg -i install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
Firefox keeps showing plug-in as version 9.0 r115 but the problem seems
solved !

On a freshly installed ubuntu-7.10-alternate, with latest apt-get
update.
When the 'mdadm' package is installed, the system fails to boot
successfully, and ends up at the initrd '(busybox)' prompt.
You could check #158918 and mark this a duplicate if appropriate.

Yes, I reinstalled the machine and now run an up-to-date Lucid. (Now kernel
2.6.32-22 does boot)
It is still an issue. When the computer goes to sleep, it doesn't wake up again.
