Today's Brasero upgrade to 2.30.2 seems to have solved the problem with
audio cd, without the need to upgrade cdrdao; it still remains however
for data cd, as launching copy cd still asks to install plugins
without telling you which ones

As a work around for the problem I edited /var/lib/dpkg/status and
removed the entire block referencing flashplugin-nonfree. Once I did
that I was able to update the system with the update manager and I was
able to run synaptic and use the flashplugin-installer to install the
flashplugin-nonfree.

YEAH! I have a fix. As soon as I changed a few of the ACHI drivers to be
compiled in (like they were in karmic) from being loadable modules (like
they are in lucid) the problem went away. for the record here are the
changes I made to the config file.

It appears as of today (06/25/10) that the problem with loosing the
'find' upon return to a HLMT window now works. There were some recent

the upstream kernel as I understood from the webpage above. I send my pc
to suspend-to-ram mode two times now and all works currectly. I will try

I tested on different sites and on default mode too and all worked fine
now.

And similarly for vmxnet, you may need to manually change the hardware
to test the vmxnet driver. The default is e1000, but after changing
that, I can verify that the fixed vmxnet driver is working.
So we can get the latest upstream code, apply my patch for vmxnet
(already submitted upstream),

I can also verify that the -proposed (2.92.92.is.2.30.3-0ubuntu1)
packages work well with no regressions noted here. They fix the
specified bug as well as the related issue with winbind logins.

gnome-keyring-daemon hangs on login where

went not so good, because gnome was not starting and I had to somehow
fix packages or do sth like that...

I'm currently using maverick and here i use auto login at boot but did not
disabled the login windows after log off i would it a try and see if the bug
with empathy and the keyring still exist here and if not then maybe this bug
report could be close as long as
it doesn't happen to anyone
