In my case the Unlock option is grayed out, so it's probably set to be
unlocked by default, but it's not, I have to manually enter the
passwords at each login. I'm using the preinstalled Maverick version.

Worked fine in early ubuntu versions. But after mysql start was ported
to upstart zoneminder dependencies are not working anymore.
ZoneMinder expects to connect to a database, usually @localhost.

When an external mouse is pluged-in, the touchpad sometimes is not
needed, so there should be an option to automaticly disable it
I wrote a simple script to make that, but I think this sould be
integrated in the system

Still the same behavior on Maverick.
Is there a workaround other than disabling desktop effects? Increasing the
Number of Desktops in compizconfig-settings-manager is not possible on my
computer.
