installed perfectly under Intrepid Ibex.

I think this should be marked as a bug, since new user coming to Ubuntu would
like to use their IMAP mail with evolution. Many mail servers (including Gmail)

I share the same problem, though on an Edge 11 AMD Neo II (K325) with
Ubuntu 10.10 on 2.6.35-24 i386.
Running powertop indicates, that the kernel schedule may be one cause
for this as it leads to many wakeup events per second.
Here a snapshot extract with an idiling Laptop playing a MP3 file
I think the bug is specifically targeted towards Maverick, because we
would have anyway changed it for Natty.
Though the status says 'Fix Committed' (I believe) it can be said to be
fixed only if Maverick is fixed :-)

I am running 10.04.1 on an Asus EB1012. I was able to work around this
with the iguanair deb file that is currently on iguanaworks .net,
iguanaIR-1.0.1-1.i386.deb, but the lirc package they had there,
lirc_0.8.7~pre3-0ubuntu1_i386.deb, gave a broken install. I rm'ed it
and used the link above
I would agree that Gedit should behave similarly to other applications,
and I would suggest that it mimic Nautilus in it's treatment of tabs, ie
hide the tab bar when there is only a single tab open meaning closing
the application is the only option to close that last tab.

Same problem for me. It seems when firefox is running and I opening new
tabs or I making some window-operating (minimize, maximize) the firefox
and xorg eat my cpu for a sec. Cpu usage goes up to 90-95% and
everything are stopped for a moment. It is not funny when music breaks
like on old

After looking at your usb-devices-2.txt, I confirm it's switched
successfully and now it should work without any issue. That error
stating `Error: getting the current configuration failed (error -1).
Aborting.` seems to be from the latest changes in usb_modeswitch package
but just ignore them.
