Restarting the cron daemon also worked for me. By the way I also had to
restart atd where I use it.
This must be one of the worst bugs in years on a LTS version. Just

There are no visibility of input (upload) file fields when there is view basic
style (when style is ignored I can see it).
I tested on Firefox 3.6 and Opera - works fine, only Ff4 has problem.

BTW uninstalling the scrollbars didn't work.

post-installation
I got the same problem. after upgrade i only got a few icons on the
desktop I guess nautilus and the top I got a shadow and a few ghost
icons that works but is not visible.
Creating a new user and using that account it all works so it's some
configuration issue for my user.

No, it's not at all to do with statistics repoting. It's due to not many
of the upstream packages being able to build under PowerPC. Many of the
tests built from source should work, but in the case of using some of
the game binaries, etc x86/86_64 is the primary target of the
benchmarking
