I have found the most likely cause of this bug to be, Travel. I went
from Europe to the United States and the problem started. By changing my
software source to a US Server through select best, the problem was
solved and headers were retrieved properly. So Change your sources to a
near by server.

Trevino, Firstly I failed to say that the changes in post 10 only come
into effect after a logout and login - it seems that Unity does some
matching at startup. Also .desktop files on the Desktop are not

So for the non pvr machine, it likely just needs updated. You should
see those specific errors disappear after an upgrade.
For the pvr machine, Jamu only throws those errors when one of these three

I suddenly began experiencing this problem this morning, after applying
an update to Ubuntu 10.10. I've reinstalled grub2 to no effect. I did a
complete re-install of my / partition. Same result. Error: no such
device.
