I am unable to make the alpha channel appear transparent with a QImage
and a QPixmap when I use the .fill() method, all I return is black. With
a QImage formatted to ARGB32 I am able to set the .fill method with
argument 0 and the image will fill with transparent pixels ...

try to view a folder containing SVG images I created in Inkscape, and I

As indicated on the upstream bug report, this is not the right solution.
The real bug is that, in Oneiric's version, remote users who already logged in
are not listed as they should be.
The fix for that bug is already merged upstream

Just to provde an update: We are working on a sane solution for this in
PackageKit 0.7.2, which will be present in Ubuntu Precise as soon as it is
released.
For some reason this issue is Ubuntu-specific and does not appear on Debian or
