it depends on when and where will the patch be accepted into the kernel source
upstream. the kernel will continue receiving updates in ubuntu after every
minor release from upstream, but if the patch doesn't get released till say,
version 3.2, and ubuntu is shipping 3.1, the patch won't show

When opening the attached pps file, libreoffice ends with this message:

libreoffice-writer crash

With a workaround i can not select the input device of my Mackie ProFX
12 mixer to be able to record from it.
I opened pavucontrol and went to the configuration tab. There i changed the
profile of the mixer device 'PCM2903B Audio Codec' to from 'Analog Stereo
Duplex' to 'Analog Stereo Output +
Ernst Eeldert, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please attach the information following
