For manually changing the printer name in current Ubuntu (12.04),
in addition to editing the name in /etc/cups/printers.conf
you need to rename the respective .ppd file in /etc/cups/ppd/

I take it back. The same problem happened with the Atheros wifi card,
though it only happened after 8-10 suspend/resume cycles, rather than
just 1. But this time, I was able to fix it without rebooting because
the problem is not the wireless hardware or driver. It is the ethernet
driver:

I noticed that using Chrome/Chromium along simultaneously with Firefox triggers
the bug immediately or only 3 or 4 minutes later.
The Freeze occured frequently when I was interacting with Flash/HTML5 resources

Hello...
As title says, nautilus hangs at start...
What I did was to remove the ~/.cache/gnome-control/center/backgrounds
folder to see if i could make gnome re-cache the backgrounds to the
systems default and to see if it would make the background changer go
faster... id did
Got it!! --
Used this link and all is well... finally was able to install 12.04
64bit in Xen Coud 1.5 beta...
