work, i.e. no special kernel patches and no passing acpi_osi="!Windows
2012". Then try to adjust the backlight several times. After that run

I found the solution to the problem, the network manager is not able to
decrypt the group password, once I decrypted the password
http://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/~massar/bin/cisco-decode
things worked ok.

The HDD space leak makes it hard to debug..
I tried with a more precise approach this time and installed no updates between
downloading and removal.
The file I removed had 30MB, Free space before removal: 47M, Free space after
removal: 47M
