lirc lirc-x gnome-lirc-properties
Considering that my previously working/etc/lirc/hardware.conf mentions
/dev/usb/hiddev0 I ran the following and was able to immediately elicit
a kernel panic response.
irrecord -d /dev/usb/hiddev0 -H macmini output_conf_file

I have formated hard drive and installed following OS's to fully test
this camera:
* Ubuntu 12.04.3 32bit - camera doesn't work with default 3.2.0-45 kernel, but
works fine with 3.12.0
* Ubuntu 12.04.3 64bit - camera doesn't work with default 3.2.0-45 kernel, but
works fine with 3.12.0
* Ubuntu
Fixed in raring, leaving it open for quantal.

days ago; now it is no longer working. my configuration is broadcast=yes

Any advice?
