Public bug reported:
I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 13.10. This morning, I couldn't type my
password in at the login prompt. It was as if the keyboard was not
being recognized. I verified that there was a prompt in the password
box, so it's not an input focus issue.
What's interesting is that
Correction: If it can not pick the Device Name it would NOT let you

weird bug.
Does this only happen in the list view? Anyways, I'll look into it.

Allan Crooks, thank you for performing the requested tests. The next
step would be to fully commit bisect from 3.5.0-30 to 3.5.0-31, in order
to find the offending commit. Could you please do this following

This is still broken in Trusty.

I believe the problem is actually in gnome-disks, not Nautilus. When I
launch gnome-disks directly and attempt to format either a single

Reviewing the files from your upgrade attempt you seem to have enabled
the xorg-edgers-ppa. This will prevent the upgrade as that PPA contains
different versions of packages essential to Ubuntu. The page,

Nazar Mokrynskyi, thank you for your comment. Given how your issue is resolved
removing fglrx, this wouldn't be considered the same bug. Hence, so your

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem i Ubuntu 13.04 after upgrade and tried
what you have done with the same results. So I am quite desperate as I
want all my emails back with all the folders. I have been able to
retrieve my Inbox in Evolution but not my folders.
So does anybody has an idea ?
