Rafael:
Thank you for the additional information.
So apparently this is another GTK thing.
PcManFM still uses GTK, but it looks great. Its buttons only change
color when the mouse hovers over them.
I checked out two applications that I know use QT (rather than GTK), and
they look better.
I am concerned that Xorg 1.16 has not made it into 14.10 yet. Can this
be prioritized? The current 14.04 LTS version does not contain the fix,
therefore disabled users are still on 12.04.

Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu 13.04 and up (including the latest version of Ubuntu 14.04 x86
and x64 versions), the /etc/apache2/envvars file has the following line
at the bottom of the file:
umask 111
This needs to be removed, or files will not be able to be uploaded into
the /tmp directory

Hi Rory,
It looks like the Gramps developers agree that this should be changed,
but it seems to have been forgotten.
Perhaps you should follow the link below to the Gramps Project Bug
Tracker, create an account and make a comment on the bug. This may
remind someone about it and if we are luck,
Public bug reported:
I tried to debug a small C program with geany and gdb .
-Selecting target code works but
When pressing the run button in the debugger geany crashes.
ubuntu@tegra-ubuntu:~/ccode$ geany
(geany:5242): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_string_free: assertion 'string !=
NULL' failed
I also have this bug, very frustrating. Ubuntu 14.04, Nvidia-331.38
