I use ubuntu 15.04 Daily build
1. After installing on MBR-1TB works fine and still intact my fixed F12 Boot
Menu
2. Use Gpart to convert the hdd to GPT partition type, empty though.
3. After installing on GPT-UEFI 1TB, Ubuntu loaded fine,
BUT F12 Boot Menu disappear again and F2
On my system, do-release-upgrade was failing silently from this bug. I
had to run pudb3 on it in order to find the error. There may be many
others who have the bug but may not have found this bug report because
they are experiencing the silent failures.

Like connecting with Bluetooth,it keeps searching and doesn't connect
even if the Bluetooth device is in range and set to visible.
Second problem is while connecting with modem it shows connected and
then after few minutes or hour it automatically disconnects.

None of the suggested workarounds like moving 3 nautilus desktop files in

With some other work that I was doing, I found bug 1272414
it seems that getifaddrs() is somewhat slow when lots of interfaces are used.
so this could have a bit of a performance impact in some places. that said,
dhclient is not likely a heavy use path.

The 14.04.2 live CD fails for other reasons but with an apt-get
upgrade to 1.1.6-20-g1b9f164-1ubuntu2 it starts working, so Trusty does
not appear to have this problem.

Other users are reporting this problem online with upgrades but I can
confirm this occurs with just new installs in Virtualbox (15.04 amd64)

I have now clearly identified a working and non-working version and
tried to start the full commit bisect, but I am unable to follow the
guide in the wiki as it points me to change the version number in the
debian.master/changelog file. Unfortunately, there is no such file.
