I am not sure this is an alsa-specific bug. Looks to be more of an issue
with the Nvidia card and the way it handles HDMI audio. This also
affects a BTO 15CL76 notebook (I7-6700HQ / GTX1060) set in DISCRETE
mode. No HDMI audio device shows up at all. The active nvidia driver (as
of writing) is
0.5.2 does not compile in Ubuntu 16.04. Please consider promoting 0.5.3

when using the Chromium Browser, the screen (LXDE) drowns in warning
messages because of heaps of apparmor profile violations. Unusable
without intense manual modifications.
For some strange reason /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.chromium-browser is over

As there is no option to "remove" a hard disk drive in dolphin or the
usual USB notifier, I unmounted all partitions and sent the device to
sleep (gnome-disks), which causes a spin-down of the drive itself. Then
one can remove the disk in a relatively safe manner.

The only way I could make my system work has been to install initial

I am still getting this issue in Ubuntu 16.10 with Radiance and Ambiance
themes, LO 5.2.3.2 (Build ID: 1:5.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1~yakkety1).

Network-manager will make my network connection immediately lost after updating
to the newest version 1.4.2-2ubuntu4.
However, downgrading to the previous version 1.4.2-2ubuntu3 the network
