The errors in the kernel log don't appear with kernel version 4.10.17.
However, I still get lockups with that kernel as well.
At this point I think the lockups are probably not related to the
warnings and are possibly caused by a hardware failure. The errors in

The reason for this bug is because the h_set_sprg0 and h_page_init hypervisor
calls were not yet implemented in Qemu 2.5. The problem was solved by two
patches. They implement one hypercall each.

It appears that the post-install failed to start the SSH server. The latest
version of SSH came only with 4 security fixes so it is not obvious what would
be causing this:
