was fixed in version 2012.06.0, specifically with the following commit,

I have exactly the same problem described in the title since 2018-11-27,
when I bought this laptop.
My configuration:
HP Elitebook 840 G1
Ubuntu 18.04
The same issue does not hit Windows, which I dual boot with.
