mechanism like scancode from KBC/EC.

and I'm not seeing any delays on shutting down or rebooting now. But

those to files but that didn't help:

The patch to export the firefox/thunderbird menus to the global menu was
removed in 20.04.
I expect 16.04 and 18.04 are still affected though, but I haven't had a chance

This is a very old version of firefox that you have indeed. It looks
like you haven't installed neither regular nor security updates. I
strongly recommend enabling them: launch "Software & Updates", click on
the "Updates" tab, and check the "xenial-security" and "xenial-updates"

Thanks, I could commission and deploy the machine after disabling the BMC
configuration step.
