multiple OpenGL windows within a single widget,
sharing display lists. Typically
what happens is that the CPU goes 100% for a few seconds
when I do things with the OpenGL window

This is a bug because firefox is able to install without firefox-gnome-support
in the xubuntu 8.08 default install CD.
firefox-gnome-support should be a requirement to the xubuntu-desktop

I am experiencing this problem in Hardy. The systemsettings | Appearance
option creates a local ~/.fonts.conf file. The settings in this file do not
correspond to the options I select when I execute:
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config --force

mnemosyne is a replacement for memaid by the same author, still
maintained, and it works. I've filed a removal request for memaid-pyqt

I have this problem ( 73.1% (491.0) wakeups makes :
Rescheduling interrupts ). I am running on macbook 2,1 .. hardy
2.6.24-16-generic ..
any fixes of this problem ? Does i need to try vanilla kernel ?

Hrm. Trying this again, it doesn't even seem either those scripts or the
DOUBLE_CONSOLE_SWITCH are required anymore, just the i8042.reset option.
(At least on my machine)

I am sorry to report that this problem has gone away for me, but I'm not
sure what I did to fix it.
I did two things which might have made a difference:
- changed my router's configuration to use WPA and TKIP rather than WPA2 and AES
- took the interface out of "roaming mode" using nmapplet's "man

I've stopped using it due to this bug. That was in 7.10, I haven't retried
it in 8.04. If you want I can see if I can find my old config file somewhere
and give it a shot. All I remember is that it would consume 4gb (or what was
free for it to consume) in less than 8 hours.

I've just entered: "lls -tlr" instead of "ls -ltr" and at once hit
CTRL+C
The result was similar like described in the thread begin:
