I did that and the problem is still there.
I went to System->Preferences->Sound to play with config and while
trying to force Autodetect to Pulseaudio sound server I got a "server
refuses to connect" type of message.
I did /etc/init.d/pulseaudio restart and it went silently
I then typed "pulseau
It was fixed after I restarted my computer. :) I guess I forgot to add
that...

Thanks for the advice.
I've been running the base version of eeebuntu-2 using a live-usb key for 2
days and haven't run into this problem after a little more than 7 hours of
music playback.

On the Debian 5.0 machine (gBox) it turns out that sh is just a symlink
to bash, whereas on Ubuntu it's a symlink to dash.

OK, so an easy fix, well work around
store the keys outside of $HOME and re-configure /etc/ssh/sshd_config
Add say :
AuthorizedKeysFile /etc/authorized_keys
restart sshd
now you can ssh with keys, but when you do $HOME is STILL encrypted.

I am currently running Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid as a dualboot on my
Panasonic Let's note CF-W4.
In my case I get no response whatsoever from my associated hotkeys, however

I upgraded my Ubuntu distro from 8.04 to 8.10 (64-bit multi-core / SMP version).
The default ("Human"?) login screen for my system allows me to change the

Ok I have been having trouble getting Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit Server edition
to run well on these specs, So I tried Server Edition 8.10 64bit. While
this did run better I was only able to see a reduced amount of RAM.
Hardware is as follows:
MOBO: MSI G31M3-L
RAM: Kingston DDR2 4(
Jaunty's intel driver package still hasn't built properly (due to other
problems), but the source package reflects the changes.

It was odd in that I could ssh in as another user, su to my admin user,
and then I could ssh in with my adm
