I got this bug and was directed here. For the record, I think it
occured for me because I had created the database from a complete
mysqldump of all databases - *including the mysql database* - from
another machine.
So the password for debian-sys-maint would have been set for the other
machine
For the record: same story as Steve Riddtt's for me: mysqldump from
seperate machine.

I've verified that the updated version of app-install-data-partner for
jaunty in proposed (11.9.04.1) includes entries for flash, acroread,
fluendo-doc(s), and pdvd-doc; however, the partner archive for jaunty
does not have the fluendo-doc or pdvd-doc packages, so when one tries to
install them,
I can confirm this oops.

The kernel option pciehp.pciehp_force=1 worked for me -- both card
readers can now hot-swap SD cards whether a card was present at boot up
time or not. The right-side card reader on the AAO should also read
MemoryStick media -- but when I insert a card, it is not recognized.

Finally I could update my old intrepid with hardy kernel to jaunty using
your kernel.
And after cheating the NVIDIA Installer by copying your headers into the
default source files 2.6.29.4 dled from kernel.org I was able to install
the driver again.

I have just installed Ubuntu 9.04 with the latest updates and this is still
broken on my system with NVidia proprietary driver.
I have two cards
00:08.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV11DDR [GeForce2 MX200]

Simple workaround (for developpers;-))
In a terminal:
# get sources
bzr branch lp:notify-osd
cd notify-osd
./autogen.sh
Open the file src/defaults.c
search the last line of the function defaults_get_top_corner (the 2nd last
line at all, ~2266)
insert the following code:

Here's the screenshot. This bug happens for some tormodvolden-builds
now. About a month ago these builds worked fine.
The bluish thing around the edges is Gnome Do, which originally
appears at the center of the screen. The mouse cursor is rendered fine,
by the way.

the Debian changelog:
- Fixes a bunch of security bugs: CVE-2009-1373, CVE-2009-1374,

The 2.5.6 merge should be targeted for Karmic, not Jaunty. I have opened
bug 384222 to deal with the SRU for the security vulnerabilities.

Same here, but the graphical glitches aren't limited to any specific
application. I attached a screenshot of firefox showing glitches (see
the GMail favicon). I'm using a Mobility Radeon X1400.

other, because such a setting works better when using panels on either side of
the screen (not top/bottom), as I do.

I have been waiting for Debian to update it first but maybe there is no point.
First patch is diff of debian/ directory between 1.60-2ubuntu1 and
1.70-0ubuntu1.
There is some file movement (I have renamed launchpad_integration.patch to
01_lpi.patch)
Also I have made 1.70 depend on libevent-1.4-2
And here goes a builder log.
I'm not attaching full patch as it's 4MB in size.

Got more weird results today:

I am getting similar messages. they appear even if there is no usb
device connected. If i connect a device i am not able to use it. This
occured with different kernel versions. Now i am running:
