When lxpanel crashes then restarts, there are no items in the Menu,
except for Run and Logout. Everything else is missing. Attached is the
file ~/.cache/lxsession/Lubuntu/run.log.
Upon viewing the log file, the exit code 139 crops up a bit, which, with

I updated to Firefox 21.0, but the problem is not resolved. Looks like
Download and offline viewing with Mp4 players seems to be the work
around for now, as Flash is working on Adobe and You Tube like sites
without problem.

No I don't get that warning (using KDE 4.10.3), but I found a
workaround, which is to print the file to a PDF, which opens with Adobe.
And now I'm going to do a "sudo apt-get purge acroread acroread-bin".
(When I installed it 2 days ago, it created a file located in / called
C:\nppdf32Log\debuglog.

Tried a couple of other kernels, but the problem remains.

So it looks like the issue has been there all along, but was not being
triggered previous to Raring.
For now, I just purged the adobe Flash plugin as it does not really
provide critical functional

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS support here. I can confirm this bug. The automount service
needs to retrieve the automount NFS maps auto_home and auto_group from LDAP
which it is unable to do because the network isn't up yet. To make things a bit
more complicated, these are Kerberized (krb5) NFSv4 mounts.

Okay, well I managed to test with 3.9.7-030907-generic from the kernel
mainline source.
Now, the keyboard backlight is completely off on cold boot, the function
keys do nothing, and the screen backlight keys change it very very
slowly and no longer trigger the OSD of the brightness changing.
