[Bug 1631560] Re: Narrow spacing of icons in Files affects file names
@ Sebastian Bacher: I found an existing bug report about this problem at Gnome Bugzilla, and I added my comment to it: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=745968 The report and the latest comment are a year and a half old, but the bug is marked as new. I guess it's better not to expect a quick patch. @ dino99: Thanks for the workaround, dino99. It alleviated the problem somewhat. It would help more if I'd decrease the font size further, but the text would get too small then. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #745968 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=745968 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1631560 Title: Narrow spacing of icons in Files affects file names To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1631560/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1633973] [NEW] Yakkety update to v4.8.2 stable release
Public bug reported: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or a minimally backported form of that patch. The v4.8.2 upstream stable patch set is now available. [Bug 1308105] Re: Xfce resets TV mode to NULL when power cycled
Thanks for that! I think I'll keep waiting for the patched version to come out for my distro (32bit Xubuntu 16.04) as I'm really trying to avoid installing dev tool and compiling from source... I guess I'm just too old and grumpy now and prefer to spend time using my computers than fixing them. I already filled my quota of applying manual patches for things to just work in the 90's :D. Anyway, I really appreciate the effort many of you guys put into making my life easier with great, open software. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1308105 Title: Xfce resets TV mode to NULL when power cycled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mythbuntu/+bug/1308105/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1633319] Re: memory leak in indicator-datetime
I've been able to narrow down on my system that enabling "Evolution Data Server" for Access to the Google Calendar is the trigger for this memory issue. See the three screenshots. I even removed and reauthorized the Google account access with no change. First screenshot shows the Evolution Data Service disabled and memory function is normal. Second is toggling the Evolution Data Service from off to on. After ~10-5 seconds memory consumption appears at a rapid rate. Third is after switching Evolution Data Service from on to off and killing the indicator-datetime-service process showing the memory issue no longer exists. If Evolution Data Server is not switched to off killing the indicator- datetime-service process only restarts memory levels at the initial value and consumption growth appears nearly immediately following its automatic resume. ** Attachment added: "Three screenshots before during and after" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-datetime/+bug/1633319/+attachment/4762228/+files/screenshots.tar.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1633319 Title: memory leak in indicator-datetime To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-datetime/+bug/1633319/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

this is not a gcc bug. this is an ubuntu management specific arrogance (and perhaps some cash from redmond with love) - of course it is completely wrong to patch the kernel makefile because they decided to ship a gcc unable to build the kernel itself (with wrong defaults/specs). but like they said repeatedly, they are not a democracy. also just like linus said repeatedly, fuck unubuntu! >Why isn't this a bug in gcc 6?
