I think a possible solution would be to monitor each shared directory and remove
the corresponding shares when the directory is deleted or moved. On the other
hand, this won't help cases where the share is deleted while the user is not
logged in (e.g. by terminal).

lightdm not being able to access things inside my HOME directory.
Specifically, it looks like the greeter was looking for my wallpaper,
and couldn't access it, so it hung. Setting 0755 permissions to my $HOME
fixes this.

This bug is caused by a bug in dpkg, which has been fixed in oneiric-updates,
and precise. Running `dpkg --configure -a` should fix things.

Shutdown button? Do you mean Banshee crashes, or the entire computer
crashes? If it's the latter, it's probably not a bug in Banshee, but a
graphics driver bug or something.
