delete `NoDisplay=true' in /usr/share/xsessions/awesome.desktop solves
the problem.

Solved by setting `network.proxy.socks_remote_dns' to true, didn't need
this step before, sorry for the inconvenience.

Boot or re-log into a clean xubuntu session and then plug in a usb hdd(no
problem with usb flash). There is no eject option in thunar after thunar
auto-mounting the hdd drive.
After I manually eject the drive by `udisksctl power-off -b /dev/sdb`
and
I need to install unrar and remove rar to extract rar in file-roller.
Don't know why do I have to remove rar. Since I don't create rar files. that
won't be a problem for me.

I just install xfc 4.12 from Xubuntu dev ppa. The bug still exists. The
eject option always appears in thunar 1.6.6 but it's not click-able at
first. It would become click-able after I running `udisksctl power-off
-b /dev/sdb` and re-plugging in the drive.

I have this problem on Dell Inspiron 7370(Realtek ALC3254) when using
