No, the change you quoted is doing it vice versa ... id3v1 is supporting
a limited amount of text per tag, while in the bug here, amarok is
writing v1 even if v2 existed. The bug you quoted did it the other way
round (wrote v2 and deleted v1).

The first issue is no issue because Konqueror accesses java through
KJAS, which runs the JVM directly. I don't know why it does do that, but
I suppose there is a sensible reason.

xdg-open follows the default setting of whatever desktop you are using.
I.e. on KDE it will invoke kfmclient in order to access the default KDE
webbrowser and on GNOME it will try to find out which browser to use
AFAIK.
The thing with xdg-open is that it follows the mimetype as primary

Usually you would leave it at incomplete, although it doesn't matter if
you set it to new, if someone has further questions he/she will set it
to incomplete anyway.
Anyway, please provide a list of what you are doing exaclty (i.e. what
settings do you set in which order).

Yes, this one.
I raised the topic of continuing issues with Rosetta various times at
Kubuntu meetings we never came up with anything other than complaining.
Though to be honest, I am tired of complaining and I would actually
understand if upstream translators denied supporting Kubuntu in any way.

same to you?
The problem you are having is that the folderview plasmoid is just not
properly installed, so install kubuntu-desktop to get the necessary
packages installed.
