[Bug 1798363] Re: i2c_hid i2c-ELAN1200:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (16/65535)
I'm still seeing this problem happening on a Razer Blade 15 Advanced (mid-2021). The issue only happens after a resume from suspend (both on laptop lid close and on suspend from the command line using `sudo pm-suspend` Upon wake, the mouse is jerky, clicking on things, and becomes increasingly unresponsive. The terminal (dmesg) is constantly writing: ``` i2c_hid i2c-ELAN0406:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (14/65535) ``` None of the workarounds I have seen seem to be able to restore the trackpad to working order. Such as.. ``` sudo rmmod i2c_hid hid_multitouch && sudo modprobe i2c_hid hid_multitouch ``` and ``` xinput --disable 19 && xinput --enable 19 ``` Only a hard shutdown and a restart seem to fix things. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798363 Title: i2c_hid i2c-ELAN1200:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (16/65535) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1798363/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1744807] Re: 17.10.1 desktop install from usb key fails
For what it's worth I retried the exact same installation options/setup as this bug report, but with the network cable disconnected. It worked flawlessly. After installation I connected the network cable, booted the machine, then performed an apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade. Again, no errors and it survived a reboot. odd. is the 17.10.1 desktop installer downloading something if it has a network connection, even if the user doesn't check the box to download updates during install? Seems like the logical cause given the circumstances I've experienced here. Thank you for your help. THE PROPOSED ADDITIONS: 1. Please add the following program to the end of lk symbols file =PLEASE ADD AT BOTTOM OF symbols/lk FILE== // SINGHALA - US, SUBSTITUTES SOME AND ADDS SOME // = // // This started as an upgrade to the first romanized version of // Singhala called PTS Pali created in the 1860s. PTS requires // dots and bars on letters that are rare in fonts, and impossible // to type. Its singular purpose was to print Tripitaka, the // collection of Buddhist discourses. // // This version covers the entire newer Singhala phoneme chart // (Hodiya) that became standard just before the end of the 19th // century. All the phonemes map to the SBCS. It is easy and // faster than English to type. It overcomes the setback of // Unicode Sinhala that it is not compatible with Pali and // Sanskrit because it encodes two ligatures as base letters and // the SLS1134 specification matching shape and morpheme sets // violating Sanskrit orthography. // // Most importantly, this romanized version of Singhala has a // companion orthographic font that displays the text in the // native script and a JavaScript converts it to Unicode Sinhala // and back dramatically increasing Singhala seen on the web due // to its ease of use // // Dedication: // Thomas William Rhys Davids, Ven. [Bug 1322232] Re: wrong margins on HP photosmart 5520 printer
I have a similar problem: The printer is an HP Officejet Pro L7600, which used to work fine on an earlier Ubuntu. But when I upgraded to the latest xubuntu (LTE 14.04), the pages all have a blank margin about 1.3 or 1.4 cm wide, and the text in that area (title, page number, date, etc.) in blank. The titles at the top typically have the bottom of descenders in letters like 'p', 'q', and 'y', showing that the text was placed correctly in PDF/PS, but the top parts of the letters are erased by something. I've poked around in all the config stuff I can find, and done a bit of googling, and found comments about the problem on several forums, but as here, I've found no answers. The fact that the printer printed in the margin area (up to about 2 cm from each edge) proves that it's not the printer's fault. Anyone have a clue for how to fix it? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1322232 Title: wrong margins on HP photosmart 5520 printer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+bug/1322232/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 991666] Re: VPN Connects Successfully Then Shortly Thereafter Fails
Hi everybody, I have the exact same symptoms on 14.04 with a PPTP VPN. I have a very strong feeling this is related to custom routes. I can initiate the VPN and have it working (had it up for at least 15min without problems), but as soon as I add a custom route on the command line the connection drops after a couple of seconds. Also, when entered in the VPN/Settings gui, the connection drops shortly (seconds) after intiation. Is there some conflicting process which stumbles over the custom route? Perhaps dhclient or pptp itself? So, for now, VPN is unusable to me as I need a custom route. [Bug 1155731] Re: Recurring kernel panic with khidp after resume from S3 on a MacBook3, 1 with a connected bluetooth keyboard kernel-fixed-upstream
Ok, tried again with mainline kernel 3.8.0.-030800, which works flawlessly as well (as 3.9rc2). So the kernel panic seems to stem from the differences/patches in between mainline and ubuntu-raring kernel 3.8.0. Again, the official kernel gives a reliable panic every time I come back from suspend the moment the bluetooth keyboard reconnects. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1155731 Title: Recurring kernel panic with khidp after resume from S3 on a MacBook3,1 with a connected bluetooth keyboard kernel-fixed-upstream To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1155731/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 983291] Re: Screen Rotation options only Counterclockwise Clockwise
I can confirm the same problem on ubuntu 12.10 on a Macbook 2,1. It works when mirroring, however.
