allowed me to generate a working linux-ubuntu-modules. I vote for

Just to add to this (I think someone already mentioned), this happened
to me with 177, 180 and 180.25 from jaunty. Reverting to 173 stopped the
problems althougether. Haven't tried any of the workaround becaused they
aren't proper fixes.

I fixed it using dselect (it removed a lot of packages, including

I am getting exactly the same problem, and the more frustrating part is that it
totally ruins my wifi access at work. We have many APs with the same SSID, and
at my desk it ALWAYS connects to a 00:0F:xxx AP, then roams to a 00:0D:xxx AP

gphoto was compiled when I compiled panorama tools and hugin(long,
looong time ago, like two years back!!) when hugin didn't had an ubuntu
package.

The problem everybody is having seems a software thing, a lot of people
is having problems with connections.
I think I never had errors on dmesg. I removed the blueman repository
and reverted to standard ubuntu config.

I just tested to change in sound preferences tab devices from auto detect
where I heard just those strange noises to OSS-Open Sound System and worked
fine.It does not work with ALSA and PulseAudio. With those i only hear a
sound that looks like static electricity. However in firefox i continue
