This issue has reappeared on my laptop. Don't know if I had problems
when this bug was reported as I was away the whole month.
Trying to start nm-applet as desktop user yields the output from the original
report.
Starting nm-applet as sudo works.

If I restart the pulseaudio deamon I'm able to have playback again.
Have started the deamon with
$ pulseaudio -D --log-level=debug
The resulting log from start of deamon to sound crash is added.

If I have a high CPU load the pulseaudio server will disconnect killing
all sound. If I try to connect again it says Connection Refused.

Happening when I try to run screenlets-manager. Using Ubuntu 8.04 most

This could very well be related to some svg problems as well. If I open
a folder in Nautilus that contains svg files, I'm able to see the
thumbnails. But if I open them with the standart eog app it says that
the file is of unknown format.
GIMP however displays the svg files correct.

The awn-manager works out of the box with the live CD, so yes. It must
be a svg problem.
Perhaps it's time for a clean install. One can hope the process of
setting up 64bit Ubuntu has gotten a lot easier since Feisty.

I run apt-get update, apt-get upgrade several times a day, so Hardy is up to
date.
I have gnome-menu 2.21.5-0ubuntu1 and python-menu 2.21.5-0ubuntu1 installed.

After upgrading to Hardy from Gutsy the graphics has slowed down
significantly. In Gutsy I didn't use the xserver-xgl package. It ran
better that way. However, in Hardy the graphics are terrible slow

This is actually a problem I had on Gutsy as well.
Only very simple apps (like texteditors, no running graphics) works in wine
versions later than 0.9.46.
Games like ElastaMania worked in 0.9.46 (the one provided in the official gutsy
repo.)
