upgrading from PPC architecture which I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and
Streamtuner runs perfectly. This is a great app for me and I am hoping
that Canonical fixes it. Are there any workarounds so that I can keep

I've been having this problem too, on my Amilo LI1718 (Intel chipset
variant of the X200M).
Just clean installed the Ubuntu RC and it took 7 attempts for xsplash to
kick in (requiring a powering off and on of the laptop every time), and
suspend/resume still doesn't work.

I have a dell T3400 workstation, the install freezes / hangs in the
middle of the 9.10 spotlight splash. 9.04 works fine. 9.10 installed
fine on other machines for me.
I am not sure how I can get some decent debugging information to post.
I have 1 SATA HDD and 1 SATA DVD drive, it freezes when
I am astonished that this problem is reported so often and still
unattented. Of course physical access to a machine makes it easy for an
intruder to access and change your files. But still it should not be
made to easy. Otherwise why are there passwords anyway for people who
access the machine

worked fine, and I was able to download transactions from my bank. After

I have the same problem, but with the KDE Network Manager Plasma Widget.
The Card is definitely detected by Networkmanager and even by the widget
itself (hovering over it shows ttyUSB0 Not connected), but mobile
broadband is greyed out and the card is not shown in the list of active
devices.

i can't find linux-restricted-modules for the kernel i installed...no i didn't

computer but i got the same...black video and nothing going on...then i
tried what u wrote removing quiet and splash. I saw something on video
going on...till when the laptop stopped, and i took the photo as u

I actually am having trouble with internet connections. I think the
launch defaults allow me to recognize the net, but as I looked at the
boot file, many net options were not marked y. The result is that
though I see the net on the terminal, I cannot access or configure it
with the GUI's such as

Yes, me too (Centrino but single core) and also the problem with Edgy. I've
compiled a new kernel and then it can shutdown and reboot. I think, it has
something to do with the kernel. 2.6.17-10-generic.
By the way, I've used suspend2 in the newer kernel.
I think, it will be solved in the next

With the release of KDE 4.3.1 Akregator will be able to import Feeds
from Firefox, since concerning bugs are fixed. Thus for a better
integration of Firefox into KDE, Firefox should set Akregator as the
default feedreader.

and more to think about which would be worthy for such a firefox-kde-
