Guest account can log in, but unity does not start - only a menu is
shown in the upper menu bar. When I create user (sudo useradd -m -s
/bin/bash foo), the new user can log in no problem, and also unity
launches correctly.

mplayer seems to always swap channels when trying to play 5.1 faad mkv file.

Interesting. I, too, cannot reproduce the bug anymore. It seems that
upgrading to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.6.3-0ubuntu9 resolves this bug.
xserver-xorg is 7.4~5ubuntu18. Compiz is stable for an hour now. Going

More findings: when performing boot by turning the computer on, the
driver freezes with EXA. I have to unplug the second monitor, boot to X,
replug the monitor, restart X and then it works correctly. With XAA it
works correctly right from the beginning. One more reason for me to stop
putting

It seems that it mostly occurs when the movie is played from some slow
device (like dvd or, in my case, a zfs-fuse device) and there is a lot
of other IO activity as well. How can I get more detailed info about the

Just updated the kernel and modules on Hardy and the wifi works without
problems. I have the Atheros AR2413 802.11bg card.

I have upgraded the Gutsy on my PS3 to Hardy and it boots without
problems now.

It seems that it hangs on sound output: if you start it with
-nofullscreen -nojoy -nomouse and it hangs, try to close its window. The
console output will halt on a sound system deinit routine. Leave the
window be, it will close itself eventually. Or you can kill it with kill
-9 prboom
