I can confirm this. I have a Philips Webcam which worked perfectly on dapper and now produces only gray images. This can is also using the pwc driver. Also if I switch to v4l2 in the ekiga options it can't even open the device. v4l2 in ekiga also worked in dapper. I'll attach dmesg outputs for

I can also confirm this issue on a current edgy installation. When the webcam is plugged in on boot it always becomes device 0 and the real sound card becomes device 1. This breaks all apps using audio. Also, unplugging doesn't help, because then, there's not even a device 0 anymore and the apps
