No, I haven't sysvinit still installed. When I upgrade sysvinit ubuntu-
minimal package is uninstalled, and when I try to reinstall it, sysvinit
is deleted and upstart packages installed. Before all this, I could see
ubuntu-minimal new version (1.19) but it didn't upgrade automatically.

The problem is : now that I forced the update of ubuntu-minimal from
1.18 version to 1.19 (which provoked the installation of upstart
packages), each time I try to automatically update my packages, ubuntu-
minimal and upstart packages are selected for uninstall, and sysvinit
for install.

Argh. I've a new problem. Kaffeine doesn't detect my dvb key anymore,

I have a usb logitech quickcam, and it seems that it is not recognised

But Ben, I tried today in Dapper (with official ubuntu kernel 2.6.15)
with the same linux-dvb module and do the same things. My webcam is
working, my dvb usb key too. It seems to be a regression...

I use the last upgraded Edgy Eft (I upgrade it every day) with KDE
3.5.5.
The command of dpkg grep to have the version number of kopete gave that
:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -l | grep kopete

Scott, what do you think of that and of the workaround which is
suggested ? Is there really acpi-support related ?

Is your Xserver configuration has changed ? Or your gdm conf ? (try
dpkg-reconfigure gdm and dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg)

Sorry, I hadn't understand exactly your problem. Do you have ever try
with disabling usplash ? If it does any changes, it could be an upstart
problem anyway.

With Evolution, firefox, kopete and nautilus launched, python has
crashed unsuspectingly. The last time it seems it did that with only
nautilus and Evolution launched, but I thought it was not reproducible.
It has crashed now, but only apport can give you reliable
