After Emilio said it was working for him, I investigated further. Turns
out, I had a locally compiled version hiding in my path, which the
shortcut was launching.Typing 'wesnoth' in the terminal gave me

When using GImmie to shutdown the computer,
I'm getting the same thing today. I didn't do a fresh install - just
updates since installing 8.04 Alpha1. The error instructs to include

similar problem after upping the capture levels in alsamixer. It
sounded like I was making my test voice recordings while standing
outside in a high wind.

I can't make Gimmie give me the option to open the PlacesComputer or
PlacesCD/DVD Creator in Nautilus, like I can when using the other Gnome
Main Menus. I miss the ablity to click the Computer button and see all
my drives and storage devices in

repos, and when I click the Shutdown... button in Gimmie, and then
select Shutdown or Restart, I am merely logged out of Ubuntu, as if I'd

There's no way to tell Gimmie what Places you want to show up in
LinuxPlaces, or to tell it you don't want to see a Place there. Gimmie
appears to take it's Places from the shortcuts I add in Nautilus, which
is fine, but I want to be able to do

When I install a new program, the icon doesn't show up in Gimmie until I
restart Gimmie. It should happen automatically, or there should be a
refresh button or something.

It seems to have gotten sound capture in Sound Recorder working for me
while this is running. I had to apt-get install gstreamer-tools and
execute this in a
