I have the same problem: Firefox crashes with http://www.elisa.net if the color
depth is 16bit (or 15bit), didn't test lower colors.
With 24bit colors it works fine.

I can confirm this. And it was a bit confusing first and later very annoying to
shutdown the computer.

I cannot reproduce it anymore.
Apparently there is no need to enable the account after password is set. That's
good.
But there is another usability problem (maybe this should be reported somewhere
else?):
Same thing is happening to my HP mini 5102.
I just updated it (today), not sure when it was updated earlier, within 6-10
days.
Alhtough I may have restarted it few times without problems after updates, not
sure though.

I have this same problem with UNE 10.04 HP mini 5102 with Broadcom STA
driver.
I did has instructed in #35 and tested with 10 reboot and it worked fine after
each test
(well, Networkmanager is much slower with establishing connection than Windows
or OS X, but that's another issue).

X crashes suddenly

Applications doesn't show all applications and that might be fine if it
is performance related (see #660979).
However, in this particular case I wanted to add new users.

Ok, now users and groups is available also in all applications menu,
if I type u to search bar. I created a test account and for this
worked immediately. So, either it is a rare first time bug or I have
made a mistake at some point. Anyway, the main problem stays.

isn't show. This might be a bit confusing especially if computer is
started/returned from sleep with either view and network connection
isn't ready yet.

Whenever adding a new user and choosing random password, account is
disabled.
If password is written manually, account is enabled.
With random password:
r...@minix:~# tail -1 /etc/shadow

with manually set password:

I have also this same problem and I can fully agree with post #14. I
also installed installed maximus, go-home-applet and window-picker
applet and netbook-launcher-efl (didn't find netbook-remix-efl, not even
sure what it does, maybe those are the same?) and 2D netbook interface
looks and works
