I fixed this by commenting out the 'ipconfig' line, and calling the
configure_networking function. I also had to make that function look
for net-*.conf, instead of net-${DEVICE}.conf, since by default it looks
at eth0 (because it sources the initramfs.conf, which sets DEVICE=eth0).

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: mumble-server-web
When /etc/php5/conf.d/MurmurPHP.ini is there, running php as a non-
privileged user causes a seg fault. If I run php as root, the seg fault
goes away. Also, if I remove /etc/php5/conf.d/MurmurPHP.ini, php runs
without seg faulting.

I'm not using 8.10, so I can't tell. If somebody else can test this, I'd
be happy to hear the results!

Yes, I was. I have since reinstalled but I can test again in a virtual
machine - please let me know if you'd like me to.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ufw
In ufw 0.23.2, a minor feature request:
in the before6.rules, restrict NDP messages to hop limit to 255:
-A ufw6-before-input -p icmpv6 --icmpv6-type neighbor-solicitation -m hl
--hl-eq 255 -j ACCEPT
-A ufw6-before-input -p icmpv6 --icmpv6-type nei
RFC 4861 specifies that NDP messages shouldn't be passed through
routers.
Also, host (non-router) systems shouldn't need the
-A ufw6-before-input -p icmpv6 --icmpv6-type router-solicitation -j ACCEPT
rule as they send router solicitations, they don't need to receive them.

I am also having this problem on Intrepid final updated to 2008-11-17.
My current fix is to load the current theme manager be it the gnome
default or emerald. I will provide any other info from my computer if
needed.

Well, all that gstm does is run "ssh". So any defaults and options you
set in your normal ssh configuration will apply to ssh tunnels created
by gstm too. Except that gstm explicitly overrides the timeout, and sets
it to 5. I will work on this.
Thanks for the bug report,

I get the same, except in the server flavour of Ubuntu.
I'll be sitting here, and every 10-15 minutes, the CPU jumps to 100%,
the fan goes full tilt. I thought it might have been alot of dust, but
after having htop running for a bit, i notice console-kit-daemon is the
culprit.
