Well, I think I just found out from where the bogus info came.
On Sourceforge, I was told that the Bookmarks come from a file in the user's
Home directory.
I just found .gtk-bookmarks, that contains:

Version 32.0.3 also fails to work. There is a VERY LONG pause after the
first window is put up, that makes one believe that perhaps it has
forgotten all about the other windows and tabs, but eventually they

I am currently using 28.0, as that is the latest version that I can use
(29/30 each try to start up, open up most of the windows, and then
disappear with the report firefox crash window).

For what it's worth, I solved my problem with the Kodak EasyShare Max
X990 with the fix in comment #44, and after a reboot, it auto-detected
and appeared in Nemo, and the disk with photos has been detected, what
should I do? window came up.
Interestingly, it appeared twice in the Devices section

Each time a new FireFox version comes out, I install it, and then end up
un-installing it, as it is unable to finish loading up my windows and
tabs. When this happened the first time, with version 29, I had to
search the internet to find a version 28 for Ubuntu that I could
FF sometimes crashes before trying to put up additional windows, and
sometimes after putting up some of them (as in the attached recording).

Jeremy reported his on 2014-07-20 (after first commenting here on
2014-05-08 with the same wording), I would say that his was a duplicate
