Christopher, thanks for responding so quickly!
It took me a while to download the newest ISO.
I've been able to narrow it down a bit more as well: the log out only
happens if I have my second monitor plugged in. Sometimes (but not
always) the second monitor will flash the "logged out" screen for
whoopsie 4096 Mar 9 11:12 .

I got the same error "gnome-software crashed with signal 5 in
g_main_context_new()" on startup and solved it with:

I can confirm that after apt-get purge/autoclean/install qtcreator,
removing CMakeLists.txt.user every time before opening a project
"solves" the problem.

Here's a short video I recorded for the ASUS Support service. It gives a
good illustration of what happens on Windows 8.1. This is also exactly
what I get with the latest Ubuntu LiveCD.
In the video, I say in Russian: "Now I'm plugging in the AC... Rebooting
the device... And it works perfectly...

"update-notifier" alerts me about "system updated" directly without show

I think the responsibility of this enhancement is for the Canonical developers.
Before Ubuntu 13.04 I can see the tray icon modifying
"com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist" but now this is impossible.

I have opened a new bug for this issue: bug #1216572
This bug was reported because the changes in Filmaffinity web. the problem in
comment #2 is another issue.
HenryRock, when you want, you can put your modified plugin there and so the
rest can also enjoy the corrections.
