FYI the fix is wrong. It destroys the idempotency of postinst. If the
postinst is interrupted after the addgroup call then a repeated
invokation of the postinst script will not change the mode or ownership
of /etc/fuse.conf.
This also applies when fuse-utils was installed in the past, then was
@Bobby: I downgraded to lucid to escape Unity and Gnome3. Now that it
works, I won't risk another upgrade in the foreseeable future, sorry :)

Since I have no way of reproducing this bug (No one here has the
hardware), I'm going to need your help to isolate the cause.
Unfortunately, the backtrace is broken as well. When you're in gdb, can

Can you do two things:
- Attach the output of glxinfo to the bug.
- See if the error still happens if you use the classic desktop without effects.

I had a similar problem with my new MSI X370. I found that pressing
Fn-F6 (has a round webcam pic on the F6 key) and then running lsusb
again gives me this.

Trying to write an upstart script or modify /etc/init/mountall.conf with two

be good to properly triage and fix this bug, though, as the system is
unusable without this resolution.

Shortly after logging into a non-failsafe gnome desktop, the system
freezes (at first, it becomes sluggish, mouse pointer becomes jumpy,
then the whole system grinds to a halt). When the desktop starts up, I
can open a terminal window and noticed hundreds (or more) instances
The system is ubnuntu 10.10 on AMD64.

Writing disk until 95%, then starts installing bootloader, and window
disappears.
Running as root on terminal,
Tried the same thing with a ID 0951:1607 Kingston Technology DataTraveler 100
2GB and it worked fine.
Usb-creator just exits with no message.
Note:on every try I erased the disk first and set to 'not store data on
usb'(or similar configuration)

I'm sorry that I posted a link to a third party site. Even though it is
in portguese, I am not affiliated with the website nor what to promote
it. It is just the most recent link in which I've noticed the bug. I
tried (shortly) to reproduce with a google search but or didn't use the

When restarting portmap / statd the old portmap process does not
properly free its socket causing the new portmap process to fail and
upstart to stay stuck in pre-start trying to stop statd.

This problem does not allways occur. Sometimes portmap starts up just
fine right after being stoped.

portmap/statd can not be restarted
The new dsync functionality of dovecot 2 to sync servers makes it
particularly interesting for me. Really looking forward to a ubuntu
package, hopefully followed by a backport to LTS. Having ubuntu servers
with that feature would be great.
