I have freezes after a number of successful suspends. Around each 5th fails on
suspend.
Sometimes on resume. The weird thing is that according to the kern.log the bug
showed up on resume, while in fact I was suspending. So it seems that for some
reason it went resume
This is the part of the kern.log showing that the system went
immediately up after suspend. Although it seems to resume properly, the
screen was frozen. I was able to switch to some VTs but they were not
accepting input. And after 3rd switch the the system no longer
responded.

The issue is still present, exactly the same fifth suspend freezes on suspend.
Sometimes (but rare) it freezes on resume.

backend, and pulse is just a plugin gstreamer uses. But anyway, after removing
pulseaudio (I don't have gnome-settings-daemon) mute/unmute is working

I am trying to install vlc 1.1.11 and transmission 2.32 from source.
sudo checkinstall fails to install both of them. In case of transmission:

installing zh_TW.gmo as
THe errors are probably unrelated, just noticed that it tries to copy .libs/
while it should ./libs in case of vlc.

As a workaround, until this problem is actually fixed, the package can
be installed in this way:

With 7.10 and Dell Inspiron 6400(1505) the light goes off as soon as lid is
closed, but after half second turns on whenever the mouse is moved or not.
Killing gnome-power-manager results an even stranger behaviour: the lights go
off, than turns on for a brief period than turned off again. But
